I’d like to introduce Professor Alison Hutton (Ally) who is an associate investigator on Safeguarding Project. Ally currently works at the University of Newcastle. Her current research focuses on youth health safety at large outdoor events. Ally's work in Australia and worldwide is leading to innovative new ways of supporting young people at social events such as Schoolies, outdoor music festivals and sporting tournaments.
Being a paediatric nurse, Ally has spent a considerable amount of time in her career advocating for the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Ally is interested in working on the Safeguarding Project because she believes that all children need to be advocated for and supported by wider society. Ally brings to the team over thirty years of paediatric experience.
